What we can take on
- Source-of-release lists and calculation sheets to IEC 60079-10-1 and IEC 60079-10-2.
- Zone drawings on the layouts you send.
- Ignition source assessment tables to EN 1127-1.
- Checks of Ex equipment registers: EPL, group and temperature class against the zones.
- Draft sections of the explosion protection document or the DSEAR assessment, in English, in your template.
- Single calculations: pool evaporation, ventilation, battery rooms, dust layers.
How we work together
- White label. The work is prepared in your template and issued under your name. We never contact your client.
- You stay responsible for the document. You review and sign. We check our own work before delivery, and every calculation sheet shows the formulas, the inputs and the assumptions, so that your review is quick.
- In writing. You send the site data, the photos and your notes; we send back the work and a list of open questions.
- Confidential. A non-disclosure agreement before the first project, and data used only for that project.
A low-risk start
For a first project we suggest one calculation package on a real case of yours, at a fixed price. You see the quality and the format before you commit to more.
Scope, fees and timeline
| Item | Typical time |
|---|---|
| Calculation package for one question | 2–3 working days |
| Work package, for example one area with drawings | Agreed per project |
| Repeat work under a framework agreement | Agreed per project |
We quote a fixed price in writing within one working day of seeing your documents. The price depends on the number of sources of release, the documents and drawings available, and the scope you choose; there are no hourly rates. Quotations exclude taxes.
Basis of our work. Our assessments are based on the documents, drawings and data you provide. On-site verification remains the client's responsibility unless the proposal says otherwise. Every report lists the documents it relies on and the assumptions made where information was missing.
Frequently asked questions
Who is responsible for the work?
You sign the document and remain responsible towards your client. Our responsibility towards you is set out in our agreement: we stand behind our calculations, and every assumption is stated in writing.
Do you follow UK and German practice?
We apply IEC 60079-10-1, IEC 60079-10-2 and EN 1127-1 as used under DSEAR and under the German TRGS 720 series. Any national particulars you want applied should be stated in the brief.
Can you visit our client's site?
Not abroad. Site work stays with you; we work from your data, photos and notes.
What do you need for a first package?
The layout, the process data, the safety data sheets, photos and your site notes, plus your template.
