Carbon data for your Turkish site: CBAM, product footprint, EPD

Your Turkish plant or supplier has been asked for carbon data: verified CBAM emissions for an EU importer, a product carbon footprint for a customer, or an EPD for a construction product. We prepare the calculation in Türkiye, in the local language with the plant's team, and report to you in English.

Who it is for

  • Group sustainability and EHS teams of companies with plants in Türkiye.
  • EU importers of steel, aluminium, cement or fertiliser products who need CBAM emission data from a Turkish supplier.
  • Buyers who ask a Turkish supplier for a product carbon footprint or an EPD and want the work done properly.
  • Engineering and procurement teams specifying low-carbon construction products made in Türkiye.

What we prepare

CBAM facility emissions. Since 1 January 2026 the EU importer declares embedded emissions per CN code and, for actual values, needs the installation's emission report verified by an accredited verifier; otherwise the EU default value for Türkiye applies, with a mark-up of 10% in 2026, 20% in 2027 and 30% from 2028 (1% for fertilisers). We set up the monitoring methodology, prepare the annual emission report in the Commission's template, chase precursor data from the plant's suppliers and build the evidence file for the verifier. The first annual declaration, for 2026, is due by 30 September 2027.

Product carbon footprint. ISO 14067, usually cradle to gate, with a documented Turkish grid electricity factor, every input referenced and every assumption recorded; summary in your format if required.

EPD. Life cycle assessment to the applicable product category rules (EN 15804+A2 for construction products), the EPD draft, management of the independent verification and registration with the programme operator in the manufacturer's name.

The three are different documents under different rules; a product footprint cannot be used for CBAM. Where more than one is needed, we collect the data once.

How it works

  1. Scope in writing. Which plant, which CN codes or products, which document the buyer or regulation requires.
  2. Data collection in Türkiye. Our data request form goes to the plant; our engineer works with the plant's team in Turkish and visits the site where measurements or documents have to be checked.
  3. Calculation and report. Prepared and signed by Axosfer and issued to the Axosfer report standard: sources for every input, an assumptions register, a QR code for verification of the document. The engineer named in the proposal checks the calculation, approves the method choices and signs the report's technical review section.
  4. Verification. The plant contracts the verifier (accredited CBAM verifier, or the operator-approved EPD verifier); we prepare the evidence and answer the verifier's questions.
  5. Reporting to you. English summary for headquarters or the buyer; the full report in Turkish and English as agreed.

What we do not do

  • We do not verify. CBAM verification is done by a verifier accredited by an EU national accreditation body; EPD verification by an independent verifier approved by the programme operator. The preparer and the verifier must be independent of each other, so we do not appoint the verifier.
  • We do not trade CBAM certificates or file customs declarations.
  • We do not promise an outcome. Whether the actual value is below the default value is what the calculation shows.

Scope, fees and timeline

ItemTypical time
CBAM facility emission report, first year (one installation)4–8 weeks after the data arrive; annual update thereafter
Product carbon footprint, one product, cradle to gate3–6 weeks
EPD, one product, existing product category rules8–14 weeks including verification and registration

We quote a fixed price in writing within one working day of receiving the information we need. The price depends on the number of CN codes or products, the number of inputs and suppliers, and how much of the data the plant already has; there are no hourly rates. Verifier and programme operator fees are shown separately. Quotations exclude taxes.

Basis of our work. Our work is based on the data and records the plant provides. Checks of meters and records on site remain the plant's responsibility unless the proposal says otherwise; independent verification is always done by the verifier the plant appoints. Every report lists its data sources and the assumptions made where information was missing.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Turkish supplier simply send us its ISO 14067 footprint for CBAM?

No. CBAM embedded emissions are calculated at installation level under the CBAM methodology (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2547); a product footprint under another standard is not accepted. The same plant data can feed both.

Who signs the report?

Axosfer prepares and signs the report. The engineer who technically checks the calculation and signs the report's technical review section is named in the proposal, together with their discipline. Verification remains with the independent verifier chosen by the plant.

Does the plant need a site visit?

For CBAM, the verifier's first-year site visit is mandatory under the Commission's guidance; our own visit depends on what has to be checked on site. Data collection otherwise runs in writing with the plant's team.

Which programme operator do you use for EPDs?

Most Turkish manufacturers publish through EPD Türkiye, the Turkish partner of the International EPD System; single-fee operators such as EPD Hub are an alternative. The manufacturer holds the account; operator and verifier fees are paid by the manufacturer and shown separately in our offer.

When can you start?

Now. Scoping and data preparation can start straight away; for product footprints and EPDs, the delivery date is set in the written proposal. For CBAM, the full-year 2026 data are complete in January 2027 and the emissions report is prepared between January and June 2027, ahead of the first annual declaration due by 30 September 2027.

Send us your documents

Within one working day of receiving them we send our first observations and a fixed-price offer. We work in writing, so every point and every figure is documented.
