Countries and regions
| Where | What we do | Document and sign-off |
|---|---|---|
| Türkiye | On site: the explosion protection document (PKD), hazardous area classification, site verification for teams abroad; carbon data for Turkish plants. | The employer's document under the 2013 regulation; prepared and signed by Axosfer. |
| European Union (27 countries) | From documents: preparation and independent review of the explosion protection document, hazardous area classification, imported machinery, calculation packages, support for consultancies; CBAM data for your non-EU suppliers. | The employer's document under Directive 1999/92/EC (ATEX 153); national names such as Explosionsschutzdokument (Germany, Austria) and EVD (Netherlands). No licensed signature is required by the directive; your competent person or consultant adopts what we prepare, and the on-site verification before first use remains with you. |
| United Kingdom and Ireland | The same services for the DSEAR risk assessment and hazardous area classification (UK) and the explosion protection document under the 2007 General Application Regulations (Ireland). | The employer's assessment; prepared by Axosfer, reviewed by your competent person. |
| Switzerland and Norway | Imported machinery reviews, document reviews, classification and support for consultancies. | Switzerland: the Accident Prevention Ordinance (VUV) and Suva guidance 2153; Norway: the directive through the EEA. |
| United States and Canada | Dust hazard analysis support for consultancies under NFPA 660 (formerly NFPA 652); area classification to NFPA 497 and 499 with the Division system; calculation packages. | A DHA is led and signed by a qualified person: we work as a subcontractor to your consultant ("prepared by", your consultant "reviewed by"). |
| Gulf states: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain | Hazardous area classification studies to IEC 60079-10-1 and -10-2, Ex equipment reviews, imported machinery, explosion risk assessments for owners' standards. | Filings with the civil defence or other authorities go through a locally licensed consultant; we prepare the engineering behind them. Equipment certified to IECEx or ATEX is expected. |
| North Africa: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia | The same services as in the Gulf; for plants with European owners, the ATEX document to the group standard; CBAM data for installations exporting to the EU. | Local sign-off where the authority requires it; documents in English, or French where your consultant needs them. |

Languages
- English is our working language: correspondence, calculation sheets and reports.
- Turkish: documents for Turkish employers and authorities; correspondence with your Turkish site.
- German: we read documents, drawings and certificates in German; findings are written in English; draft sections and the executive summary can be provided in German on request, marked as a technical translation.
- French and Arabic: we read safety data sheets and drawings with standard content; for longer documents tell us, and we say whether we can take them.
What you send us
- Drawings: layout or plot plan, P&IDs where they exist, ventilation drawings or a description of the ventilation.
- Substances: safety data sheets, quantities, temperatures and pressures; for dusts, particle size and the test data you have.
- Equipment: the list of equipment in or near the hazardous areas, with Ex markings and certificates where available.
- Photos and short videos taken by your team with our checklist, when the plant exists.
- Your group standard or project specification, if it sets the method.
Missing information is not a reason to stop: the report states every assumption we had to make and what would change if the assumption is wrong.
What you receive
- A report in English, signed by the responsible engineer, with a verification page behind the QR code on every page.
- A calculation sheet for every source of release: inputs, formulas, intermediate values, assumptions and the conditions under which the result holds.
- Zone drawings on your layout, in PDF and, if you wish, in your CAD format.
- A findings or action list ranked by importance, written so that it can be handed to a contractor.
- One round of questions and answers after delivery, on record in the project file.
Where our work stops
- No site visits outside Türkiye. What can only be checked on site is listed in the report; your team or a local partner checks it with our checklist, and the report says what remained unverified.
- No certificates. We are not a notified body or an IECEx certification body. We assess whether certified equipment suits the zone and the substance.
- No licensed signature for official filings abroad. Where an authority requires a locally licensed engineer or consultant, that person signs; our report is the engineering behind the filing and says so on its cover.
- No electrical inspection. The periodic inspection of installations in hazardous areas is done by authorised persons under local rules; we review documents and photos.
- No verification of carbon data. CBAM and EPD verification is done by accredited or approved verifiers who must be independent of the preparer.
How sign-off works when the law names someone
In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Türkiye, the explosion protection document belongs to the employer; the law does not require a licensed signature, and an employer may have it prepared by anyone competent. We prepare it, sign it as the preparer and answer the questions of your inspector or insurer through you. In the United States a dust hazard analysis is led by a qualified person; in the Gulf states, filings with the authorities go through a locally licensed consultant. In those cases we work for your consultant: we deliver the calculations, drawings and the draft report in your consultant's template, marked "prepared by Axosfer"; your consultant reviews, adopts and signs. The division of responsibility is written in the proposal.
Proposals, prices, payment
- A free first look at your documents, then a fixed-price offer within one working day. The price depends on the number of sources of release, the documents available and the scope; there are no hourly rates. Quotations exclude taxes.
- Invoices in euro or US dollars from Türkiye; payment by bank transfer. An advance payment is agreed in the proposal for first assignments.
- Working days Monday to Friday, time zone UTC+3. We usually reply within one working day.
- A non-disclosure agreement can be signed before you send documents. Your documents are used only for the assignment and are not shared; see the privacy notice.
How to reach us
Write to us in English, by email or WhatsApp. Tell us where the plant is, what you need and by when.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need a site visit for a hazardous area classification?
For a plant that exists, someone has to look at it: sources of release that are not on the drawings, the real ventilation, housekeeping. Outside Türkiye that someone is your team or a local partner, working with our checklist and sending photos and measurements. The report says what was verified on site and what was not.
Can you sign the document for our authority?
Where the law requires a locally licensed signature, no; your local consultant signs and we prepare the engineering behind the filing. Where the document belongs to the employer, as in the EU, the UK and Türkiye, our signed report can be adopted directly.
Can our consultant use your calculation sheets in their own report?
Yes. That is how we work with consultancies: calculations and drawings in your template, marked as prepared by Axosfer, and your consultant reviews and signs.
Which currency and how do we pay?
Euro or US dollars, by bank transfer against an invoice from Türkiye. An advance payment is agreed in the proposal.
How long does it take?
A calculation package takes two to five working days, a document review five to ten, a classification of a production area two to three weeks. The offer states the time for your case.
